Callie + Greg Photo Booth Fun!

September 21, 2011

A few of my favorite shots from Callie and Greg’s wedding in July! Photo booths are the absolute best way to not only get pictures of all your guests, their personalities and fun side really come out! A 16×20 collage print is included with a photo booth add on to any wedding package. I still stop and look at mine from my wedding 3 years ago, makes me smile every time! :-)

Krista + John at the Adrianna Hill Grand Ballroom on August 6th! TONS more coming soon! :-)

Meet Tina and Kyle…my first wedding of 2011! I had a blast with these 2, they are so in love! Makes my job easy. I’ve known Tina since we were classmates in middle school. I was honored that she asked me to photograph her big day! It was great to get to know Kyle during the wedding festivities, they live in Walla Walla, WA so I unfortunately don’t get to see them very often. Kyle is the perfect man for my friend. I am so happy for them!

We started the day at the Paramount Hotel and walked around the park blocks for some portraits. Then we headed to the Greek Orthodox Church for their amazing ceremony. I love the traditions and rituals involved in a Greek wedding! Finally we arrived at Portland’s World Trade Center, one of my favorite locations for receptions! All that natural light…mmmmm. Love!!!

What a beautiful day to celebrate an amazing couple!

Congrats you guys!

A few from my beautiful friend Callie’s wedding on July 2nd! TONS more to come!

Also…if you haven’t seen it yet…check out the AMAZING dance routine Greg and his boys performed before the garter toss. Hilarious!!

Congrats you guys :-)

Erica and Joseph’s beautiful Battle Ground, WA wedding. Tons more to come soon!!

Since Amanda and Chris got married at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA we weren’t able to do an engagement session. We replaced that with a day after session in their package. We walked around near the chapel that’s on site and we found some gorgeous spots! So fun!

Last wedding of 2010! Yay! This couple was awesome, they were definitely my most fun and relaxed bride and groom all year! Steve is a Second Lieutenant in the US Army and was only given time off to be there on the day of his wedding, he arrived very early that morning and had to leave to go back to his base the next day. They definitely took advantage of the short time they had together! The McMenamins Roadhouse was decorated beautifully, I LOVE those strung lights! Such great details.

Thanks for letting me be a part of your fabulous day Meghan and Steve! You are such a beautiful couple, wish you guys nothing but the best!!

My blog’s almost current! Yay!

Here is Heidi and Ken’s beautiful beach wedding! I have known them both since high school where they were a class above mine. They didn’t date in high school, but they got together at their 10 year reunion in 2009! How cute of a story is that!

Fast forward a couple years and they got engaged and started planning their wedding all in a few months. It turned out absolutely beautiful! They were so lucky the weather gods were on their side…what a gorgeous November day it was! They started getting ready at Ken’s parent’s beach house in Rockaway Beach, OR. They had a super sweet first look on the back lawn with the ocean to their backs. We then headed to St Mary’s by the Sea Catholic Church. After the ceremony we headed down to the beach for bridal party pictures and finally got some intimate sunset portraits of the bridal and groom. Can I just say for the thousandth time how I LOVE the light at the beach?! I could shoot there all day.

Heidi and Ken went with my 6 hour package so I was only there to capture the beginning of their reception and a few details. If you want your entire day covered I recommend going with the wedding packages that include at least 8 hours of coverage. I tried to do what I could, though! It was such a fun crowd.

Thanks for giving me the pleasure of capturing your big day you guys! Patrick and I had a blast photographing your wedding. Your pictures are definitely going to be blown up in my new studio! :-)

This is, of course, a long overdue blog post. I don’t think I’ve blogged anything on time for months! Sorry guys.

To catch everyone up on my 2010 weddings… I flew to Atlanta Georgia in September to photograph my only destination wedding of the year. My husband (and second shooter) Patrick and I went all out and took over 5,000 pictures during our stay. I just couldn’t help myself! It was absolutely beautiful. My husband’s cousin lives in Atlanta and his wife and I have become good friends over the years. She has been so nice following my blog and complimenting my work, I was so excited to learn that she told one of her best friends Amanda about me as an idea for her wedding photographer. Amanda and Chris ended up booking me and Patrick and I flew out a few days before the wedding to spend time with his cousin and get to know the wedding party. We tagged along to all the pre-wedding festivities…bowling, drinks, and a good ol fashioned southern BBQ. So fun! I wish I could get to know all my couples on that level before their big day! I think it made a huge difference with everyone’s comfort levels that really showed in the pictures.

The wedding was held at Callaway Gardens, a resort area a few hours away from Atlanta. Patrick and I were in love with the venue as soon as we saw it. Lots of open spaces and beautiful wooded areas, not to mention the ceremony itself was held on a bridge over the lake! So awesome. Amanda and Chris also incorporated some great aspects into their wedding like having their nieces and nephews bring Amanda’s bouquet to her piece by piece. All of the children were involved this way and got to be a part of their day. They also did a hand washing ritual that was so beautiful. It was just amazing!

Thank you SO much Amanda and Chris for allowing us to be a part of your wonderful wedding weekend. Patrick and I loved meeting everyone and getting to know you guys so well. A special thanks also to Shauna for putting it all together. Thank you thank you!! We wish everyone all the best! :-)

Another late blog post! Stephanie and Chad got married in September at the Resort at the Mountain in Welches, OR. It was a beautiful, warm, indian summer day. I’ve known Stephanie and Chad for 14+ years now, being classmates in high school, so we were able to really kick back and have fun. You can’t beat The Resort at the Mountain for beautiful ceremony sites. That view is breathtaking! They had the BEST reception dancing pictures of the year! Hilarious!

Thank you guys so much, I was so honored to be there to capture your big day. I hope I did it justice! I know you’ll have many years of happiness together :-)
