Shannon and Stephen got married at the Columbia Edgewater Country Club on New Years Eve 2009. They say rain on your wedding day is good luck…these guys will definitely live happily ever after! We did manage a few portraits outside (there was even some snow still on the ground!), before Shannon’s makeup and my equipment melted. Their son Rylan was an adorable ring bearer and loved hiding in mommy’s dress. He had me laughing all night long.

Patrick and I had a great time at this New Years Eve wedding celebration…what a party! Great ready for 3….2….1….

I’ve known Katie for about 12 years now….wow, can’t believe it’s been that long! We grew up with a close group of friends in Kennewick, WA until I moved to Vancouver in 1990. We reconnected in collage and were even roommates with another one one my past brides, Liz. We had a great college experience together with many fond memories that I’ll always cherish (Go Cougs!) :-)

I was so honored that she and Zach chose me to photograph their wedding in December. I had an awesome time seeing all my old friends and being such an important part of their big day. Katie was an absolutely stunning bride and they had a lot of awesome details like her grandmother’s fur coat, a spacious cigar tent, and a full bar of Zach’s family’s delicious (and potent!) beer on tap. Like my husband Patrick and I, Katie and Zach went to rival colleges – WSU and UW. I loved seeing people giving them “house divided” presents…reminded me of my own wedding! Needless to say, Patrick and I had a blast!

Thank you Katie and Zach for inviting us to capture your wedding memories. What a great day! Love you guys!!

2010 is bringing lots of changes to Take 5 Photography! I’m launching a new wedding website sometime next month and totally re-branding my portrait site, blog, marketing materials, and client proofing process. I will be keeping the old logo for my weddings, but since I shoot mainly portraits I thought it would be fun to have a new look! I’m super excited about the new branding and even more excited to show you all the cool modern products I’m going to be offering. So fun!

For now…here’s the new logo! New sites launching next month!

Here are a couple spreads from a coffee table book I just finished for Erica & Nick. Such a super cute book! Can’t wait till it gets here! I’ll of course post pictures :-)

Sneak Peek! {Katie + Zach}

January 5, 2010

I photographed Katie and Zach’s wedding on December 5th in Kennewick, WA. It was a very chilly day…we were hoping for snow but it was bright and sunny! Got some great shots after the ceremony though, beautiful light at the end of the day. So perfect!

I’ll post the entire day as soon as I can! Thanks for your patience Katie and Zach! xoxo

Staci + Dave {Wedding}

December 29, 2009

Finally caught up on my wedding blog posts! I shot this one a couple months ago at the Queen Ann House in Portland. I’ve been looking forward to shooting their special day ever since our kickass engagement session last spring. I’ve known Staci and Dave since they first started dating and I couldn’t be more happy for them. Congrats you guys!!

Heather & Steve got married at the United Methodist Church and had their reception at the beautiful Vancouver Hilton. The weather was perfect, and their day went off without a hitch. Love this couple!! I see a sample album in the near future! :-)

Erica + Nick {Wedding}

December 3, 2009

Finally blogging my ‘09 weddings!

Erica and Nick were married at Mt Tabor park in Portland, with a reception at The West End Theater. Such a beautiful day! The love this couple had for each other was so amazing (as were their shoes!) :-)

Enjoy!

Got a nice surprise the other day when the activities coordinator from Crystal Mountain wanted to use some of my images for their website and print marketing! Looks pretty sweet!

You can see the rest of their beautiful day here.
