Expecting #1! {Portland, OR Maternity Photography}
May 18, 2011I’ve known Tricia ever since her sister Tara and I were best friends in the 4th grade. She drove me to high school in our car pool, and we were bridesmaids together in Tara’s wedding. I’m SO excited for her and her husband Ryan expecting their first child! We took some maternity pictures after her nephew Orren’s cake smash session a few weeks ago. Their son Henry was born last Friday and I photographed his newborn session yesterday. Thought I’d better get these up on my blog! Henry’s newborn session will be coming to the blog soon!

My Brother’s Getting Married! {Portland, OR Engagement Session}
February 15, 2011Ahhhhh! I can’t believe my little brother is old enough to be getting married! Still surreal
I took Bryan and Lindsey out to the Hawthorne Bridge so my sister Katie can get started on their save-the-dates. This wedding is definitely a family affair…I’m doing their engagement pictures, my sister designed their STD cards, and my mom drew their wedding logo! So fun! I’ll be doing another enagement session for them once it gets a little nicer. We’ll go down to the beach and get some beautiful sunset beach shots! Stay tuned!
They are such a cute couple. We are so excited to have Lindsey join our family. Love you guys!!
Ilene {Portland, OR Maternity Session}
November 24, 2010I met with Ilene and her husband Parker on one of our beautiful indian summer days last month (how fast did it get COLD this year..crazy!). They live by a beautiful neighborhood lake in Beaverton, it was the perfect spot for pictures! Congrats Ilene and Parker on the birth of your baby girl!

Click Chicks Beach Retreat {Maternity Photography}
April 8, 2010This post is looooong overdue. I’m just now being able to edit sessions that I have done for fun! What a crazy year…
I belong to a networking group of women photographer’s in the Portland area called the Click Chicks. We got together (I’m almost ashamed to say) back in November and played around with our cameras and the 2 expectant mothers in the group; Melanie and Lorna. Another group member, Maalaea, got back in her wedding dress for a mini trash the dress session (see other TTD sessions here). I’m still working on those and will post them asap.
For now, here are the beautiful mothers!
Sheena {Maternity Session}
March 2, 2010Sheena was my first client to be photographed at my new house! I’m so excited about the great locations nearby. There’s a stream running through the neighborhood, a playground, and lots of great textured fences to lean against.
Sheena’s sister works for Disney World in Florida and got her a super cute Mickey dress to wear and a stuffed animal for her little one. I have a feeling Jakob is going to be well stocked in all things Disney! Sheena also brought along her dog Summer…so fun! My kitty loved playing with her while we were taking pictures.
Sheena had her baby boy last week, hospital and newborn pictures coming soon! Congrats girl!

New Brand — New Kind of Photography!
January 8, 20102010 is bringing lots of changes to Take 5 Photography! I’m launching a new wedding website sometime next month and totally re-branding my portrait site, blog, marketing materials, and client proofing process. I will be keeping the old logo for my weddings, but since I shoot mainly portraits I thought it would be fun to have a new look! I’m super excited about the new branding and even more excited to show you all the cool modern products I’m going to be offering. So fun!
For now…here’s the new logo! New sites launching next month!
Jenae {Maternity Session}
January 7, 2010I had the pleasure of meeting Jenae at little Jake’s 1st Birthday last month. (Pictures of that coming soon!) I was so happy when she mentioned she’d like maternity pictures before her son arrived. Good thing we did the session when we did…baby Jack came 2 weeks early (those pictures are coming soon too! I better get back to editing!). Jenae was an absolutely beautiful expectant mother. Thank you Jenae and Justin for allowing me to capture such a wonderful time in your life!
