I was so happy to hear from this family again this year! I had photographed them last year at Cannon Beach and had a blast with their little guy Bennett, he’s so cute!

This year we walked — or more appropriately, chased Bennett — around the waterfront. We had a perfect, crisp fall day. So much fun! Thanks “A” family! It was so great to see you guys again! :-)

I hadn’t seen this little one since she was a couple weeks old! What a difference a year makes..she’s so big! Love that tongue! Haha

This was a 30 minute mini session. For more info on my $50 mini sessions email me at take5photo@gmail.com!

One of my Favorite Families!

November 10, 2010

I had another fabulous family session with the “W” family last month! I love love being able to watch kids grow up, and little Brayden is getting so big! This session was for his second birthday. Such a sweetheart. I had a blast running around with him and his cousin Silas…or should I say trying to keep up with those 2! So much energy, I don’t know how Ben and Amy do it! Thanks you guys for another fun day! Can’t wait for the next time! :-)

I loved this session! We got lucky with perfect late summer light and a gorgeous sunset. Of course it helps that they’re the cutest family! Look at those beautiful girls…so adorable!

Last month I had the pleasure of meeting the “S” family from Colorado. They were on vacation to Oregon and spent 10 days at Cannon Beach. Since I have been going there since I was just days old, I was so excited they booked me for a family session! I definitely wasn’t prepared for what a BRIGHT day it was that day, we had to wait till the 15-20 mins when the sun was going down to pack in an entire session! It worked out though, I got some great shots of them interacting and having fun! They were up for anything, it was great! Not to mention Emma’s gorgeous different color eyes! So cool! Thanks “S” family! Hope to see you again if you’re ever vacationing here again! :-)
(See another family beach session here! Only $50 travel fee!)

I’m slowly but surely getting caught up from this crazy summer of sessions! I’ve been shooting every day for the month or so, good for business, not so good for my editing backlog. I photographed this awesome family last month at the University of Portland. Both parents work there and thought it would be very fitting for the family portraits. It was the perfect choice! Their son Max had a blast running around mommy and daddy’s work (something I’m sure he’s usually discouraged to do). I definitely got my exercise chasing after him! What a character! :-)

I went to high school with Max’s mom and it was great to see her and meet her family! Such great people. Thanks “K” family for letting me spend some time with you guys!

This family was so fun…and how adorable are those kids?! I took them to a beautiful open field by my house and took advantage of the great late afternoon August light. The kids were so sweet, both offering me a flower!

Jennifer is my fabulous accountant. She takes great care of me! I wanted to repay her for saving this total creative’s sorry behind. My bookkeeping was a mess before her! I thought a summer family photo session would be so fun and hopefully show her how grateful I am but I wasn’t prepared for how adorable they are! I could have photographed them all day!! I don’t know which I loved more…the kids, the parents, the freakin AMAZING August light, or the family as a whole. It was all just perfect. I was almost salivating behind my camera! haha

The kids had a blast together playing on the play ground — hide and go seek, tag, and pushing each other on the swing. So fun! I can’t wait to photograph them again.

THANK YOU JENNIFER!!! You are so amazing and your family is absolutely beautiful! If anyone is as lost as I was with their accounting and business needs definitely check out her and her husband’s business – JMA Business Services. My lifesaver! :-)

L & L {Family Session}

August 19, 2010

I’ve known Cathy (“the mom”) ever since we were in the same pledge class in our sorority at WSU. I was so excited when she contacted me about a family session with her 2 boys and her boyfriend Scott’s 2. My husband and I were planning on a trip to the beach and I thought it would be fun to see if they’d want to make a weekend out of it and join us down the Oregon coast for the night. The kids had a blast running around and playing in the sand. They all got along so well! The weather was perfect, the kids had fun, and we got some great pictures! Definitely didn’t hurt that they were all cute as heck! I love it!

Thanks Cathy and Scott! Can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you two. You know…I also photograph weddings! hehe :-)
