These two are my September 17th couple getting married on the San Juan Islands! I am SO excited for this one! I just know it’s going to be beautiful. They definitely chose a beautiful engagement session location! I had never been to the Seattle Arboretum before, but they were SO right. It was gorgeous! Lots of cool features like a walking bridge, open courtyard, and tree lined stairs.

I’ve known Doug for maybe 5 years now (weird!). He was roommates with my brother in college. It’s been great getting to know him and his fiance better these last few weeks!

This post is super late, Bryan and Lindsey are getting married in just 11 days!!! Sorry brother. Had a great time with them during their engagement session (*cough* 3 months *cough* ago) in Manzanita!! It was a prefect evening. Little cloud cover..nice soft light. Love how these turned out.

My gorgeous August 6th couple!

I’ve known Callie since we were freshman classmates at Central Catholic High School back in 1996 and have kept in touch throughout college and now into the next phase of our lives: marriage. I was SO excited when Callie and Greg let me know that wanted me to photograph their big day! I photographed her brother Grant’s wedding last year, I’m thrilled to see their family again next month for another one! It’s so fun working with friends, I think you can see it in the pictures. Their real personalities and emotions come out since they’re much more comfortable than with a stranger following them around all day. Such a blast! I also end up taking a buttload of pictures, so if you know me you’re guaranteed to have a well documented day! I think Patrick and I took almost 800 pictures of this session! Oops! Can’t help myself…these two are just perfect for each other. I loved getting to know Greg better, we all got along so well! One of the most random events in my life happened during this engagement session. When we showed up at the park we noticed news vans, big motor homes, and a limo in the parking lot, but we couldn’t quite figure out what the “WOF” signs meant. Then, I saw her. Couldn’t have been taller than 5’2” and thin as a rail…unmistakable. “It’s Vanna White! They must be taking Wheel of Fortune here!” It was awesome. A little annoying to have to stop our session every time we needed to pass through, but it was such a funny experience. Nicole and Travis are my 9-10-11 couple! Such a fun wedding date! I took them around the industrial district then out to a beautiful field that I found. We got lucky and caught one of the only nice days in May, the sunset we photographed in was absolutely gorgeous! Though, what makes these photographs so stunning are Nicole’s adorable dimples and shining blue eyes. I can’t wait to see you both all done up on the wedding day! Travis–you’re one lucky guy

This couple is very special to my heart. I’ve known Kevin since we were classmates in middle school and Jenn has become one of my great friends. They got engaged last year after 6 or 7 years of being together. Finally!! *wink* I am SO happy for them!

Their August wedding will be out on Sauvie Island so we decided on an urban downtown engagement session. Picked a great day for it, too! We started out with the cherry blossoms and steel bridge then headed into the city. They’re huge Timbers soccer fans so we had to get some fun ones with their jersey’s! So fun!

Van and Steven are my Labor Day weekend wedding this year in Olympia, WA. They came down to Portland for their engagement pictures to get some with the cherry blossoms and get an urban flare. We got lucky and found the one beautiful day last month (I’m kinda exaggerating but not really)! We had a great time walking around the waterfront area with their adorable puppy, and later finding awesome downtown Portland areas to photograph in. I love the result…how photogenic are they?!

Erica and Joseph are my June 25th couple this year and they joined me down in Oceanside, OR for their engagement session a couple weeks ago. I am so glad they chose the beach for their location! The light is always great and there are so many beautiful spots!
