How cute are these cousins?! Despite the rain and soggy ground we had a great time playing with the kids in the trees around Point Defiance park in Tacoma. I shot a wedding on Roche Harbor in the San Juan Islands the day before and it worked out great to schedule a few shoots on my way back to Vancouver. It was so fun to see one of my sorority sisters from college and finally meet her 4 year old daughter…I can’t believe it had been that long since we’d seen each other! She has a 4 year old! Man time is flying by. I was so glad to be able to get some super cute pictures, thanks so much you guys!
I had the pleasure of photographing one of my oldest clients very special day a couple weeks ago. Their only daughter’s baptism! After having 3 boys, little Dahlia was born in June to very excited parents. This was my first time photographing a baptism and I loved it! I was raised Catholic and that day brought back lots of memories for me. Made me look forward to my own child’s baptism someday!

This is my second “Henry” of 2011 and boy is he a cutie! I photographed his mommy’s maternity session a couple months ago and had the honor of photographing his first moments of life on July 23rd. I LOVE when my clients chose to do hospital sessions, birth days are so hectic, I always hear about how much of a relief it is for me to be there and they don’t have to worry about pictures. They can just enjoy the moments!

Can’t believe how FAST time is going by this year! Seems like just yesterday I was photographing this lil guy in the hospital! His personality is really coming through now, I love his different expressions! Such a sweetheart. Can’t wait for our next session!

Baby Henry {Portland, OR Newborn Photography}
June 13, 2011He’s here! Tricia and Rian’s first born arrived last month, what a cutie! I was so surprised to see so much dark hair when I arrived at their house for his session. Just adorable
I also designed his birth announcements that I included at the bottom. I’m thinking about including them in each of my newborn packages, what does everyone think? I just love making them! Comment below if you think birth announcements would be a good addition to my newborn packages! I might even pick a random comment to get a fun prize!

This shoot was so much fun! I don’t often get inquiries to photograph a birthday party, so when this one came in I was really looking forward to it! Children’s museum, a party with a bunch of adorable babies and kids? Yes please! Definitely didn’t hurt that Sophia is an absolute DOLL! Seriously, so cute. Her mom is so creative and crafty, too! I absolutely LOVED the owl theme and everything she did…I couldn’t stop taking pictures of all the cute stuff! (Even though the yellow walls and no windows made it a little tricky…) The party went off without a hitch and Sophia had a great time. Enjoy!
When Jakob’s mom contacted me about a one year session I had to check my calendar. Not because I wanted to see if I had an open day for them, but because I can’t believe it’s been a whole YEAR since he was this tiny! Time is flyin this year!!
We tried first to photograph Jakob at the park with play equipment and nice grassy areas but he was just not having it! I barely got one smile out of him! It was a pretty poppy day too so we decided to try it again a few weeks later when the weather cleared up. This time we went down by the water and he was in a much better mood! He loved playing in the sand and putting on his shades! Such a cutie!

Orren’s 1! {First Birthday Cake Smash Session}
May 11, 2011I can’t believe how fast time flew by this year! It seems like just a couple months ago I was at the hospital when my good friend Tara had her first little one, then again when we did his 6 month session. Orren’s turning one in just a few weeks! So crazy. We had a fun cake smash session for his birthday party invitations a week or so ago. How expressive is he!! Hahaha so cute!!
