Finally getting caught up on editing! I shot baby Natalie’s newborn session about a week and a half ago. Here are a few of my favorites! What a peaceful sleeper! :-)

Kellie {Senior Session}

July 27, 2009

This beautiful girl is one of my 2009 CRHS reps. How lucky am i?! :-)

She is the sweetest girl. I know she has a very bright future. We started at my studio in Salmon Creek then headed out on the town and waterfront. We had quite an adventure with my pop-up changing tent, bums talking to us in Esther Short Park, and fighting off hunger pains as we smelled the yummy food from Who Songs and the Crab Shack. Fun times!

Hope you like the pictures Kellie! Good luck with your senior year of high school…it goes by way too fast!

This beautiful couple is one of my September weddings this year. We had a blast roaming around downtown Vancouver and the waterfront finding places to shoot. They have decided to do an “all local” wedding where every vendor and most decorations and products used are all from the Vancouver area. I love this idea! So glad they chose me to be their photographer out of all the photogs in this area.

We’re going to be taking a few more engagement pictures next month at the Saturday Market, but I think the first round of pictures turned out really well! The adoration “S” has for his wife-to-be just pours off of him. You can just see how in love they are! Congrats you 2!

Welcome baby Natalie! I had the pleasure of being there when this little one was about a day old. She spent some time in the NICU her first hours in the world, but has a clean bill of health now.

Her mommy Meagen was the first friend I made back when my family moved to Vancouver, WA from Kennewick in 1990. It was so surreal to see a friend of mine for almost 20 years be pregnant and now have a baby of her own! Man we’re getting old! :-P

Congratulations Meagen and Troy! She’s absolutely beautiful. I’m going to be taking her newborn pictures tomorrow, keep a look out for that post coming soon!

This little one is the newest addition to my husband’s best friend’s family. I was so excited to be able to take her pictures last week when she was just 10 days old.

She unfortunately did not want to go to sleep for us (even though we tried for 4 hours!), so we had to settle for just awake shots. Next time we’ll utilize all the fun props, furs, and blankets I bring! :-)

Congrats on your beautiful daughter Ben and JoLin! Love you guys! :-)

** EDIT 7/20/09**

My husband and I went up to Olympia a week later and I was able to get a lot more shots of little Quinn. Even captured a couple “smiles”! :-)

Sneak Peek! {Weddings}

July 2, 2009

I have had the pleasure of second shooting for 4 of the top wedding photographers in the Portland area this year, Laura Sonnenburg with New Moon Photography, Paul Rich with Paul Rich Studios, Randy Kepple with Randy Kepple Photographs, and Bob Libby of Impression Arts. I have been really bad about updating my wedding portfolio and blog though, so I’ve made a vow to work on my favorite images from every wedding I’ve shot so far this year. Keep a look out! I’ll be posting my 2009 favorites soon!

Here’s one of my favorite images from last weekend’s wedding at Portland’s World Trade Center. More to come!
