I was introduced to Melissa and her husband Rolly through my college friend Vanessa. I’m loving all the referrals I’ve been getting lately through my friends — thanks SO much you guys!! Seems like everyone settled in the Seattle area after WSU but me…but that’s ok, just means I get to see them and catch when I go up there for shoots!

Melissa and Rolly are the sweetest couple, they are so excited for their little one to get here! She is going to be so loved, just look at the way her parents-to-be look at each other! I think i said “awww” like 50 times during our shoot. Too cute! Hope they’ll ask me back when the baby’s here, I love being able to follow the baby’s story from the very beginning…and make great friends! Congrats Melissa and Rolly!

I can’t BELIEVE how fast time has flown this past 6 months! One of my best friends Courtney had her baby in November and he’s freaking huge now! I can remember when he was just a week or 2 old and I was putting him in suitcases and dresser drawers. Not anymore! This kid’s going to be in the NBA if he keeps going. Definitely takes after his mama :-)

Jake’s obviously in his teething phase (hence the hands in the mouth for almost every shot!) We also tried to get some shots with his cousin, 1 and a half year old Savaughn, but that didn’t work out too well haha. Next time! :-)

Thanks Courtney and Eric! He’s growing up WAY too fast! Excited for our next shoot!

Amanda {Senior Session}

June 15, 2009

I met Amanda last year as I was shooting for Skyview High School’s Cheerleading teams. I shot their team and individual pictures as well as went to the games and took action shots as they cheered. Amanda was one of the nicest girls I worked with and look how cute she is! We had a blast taking her senior pictures.

We started at my studio in Salmon Creek, went downtown to the Esther Short Park area, and finished up playing on a playground! So much fun :-)

She is also one of my reps for SHS so you’ll see her rep cards soon!

Thanks Amanda!

Emily {Senior Session}

June 9, 2009

Emily is one of my awesome CRHS senior reps this year and I’m so happy to have her representing Take 5 Photography! She’s the cutest little thing and as sweet as they come. We went down on Salmon Creek for the first set of her pictures. We’re going to do another session with a more urban feel at the end of summer.  (You might also remember her family session I did of her family last month)

Thanks Emily! Can’t wait for our second session in a couple months!  :-)

JoLin and her family were my last shoot on the way back from Seattle a couple weeks ago. They live in Olympia where my husband Patrick grew up. He and JoLin’s husband Ben have been best friends since they were kids. Ben was even Patrick’s best man in our wedding. We were so thrilled when they told us that they’re having another baby! This time it’s a girl, too. Looking at little Joel you know she will be absolutely beautiful.

Congratulations Ben and JoLin! Can’t wait to meet her in a few short weeks!

This is the second newborn session I had during my whirlwind Seattle trip at the end of May. This session was another gift by my sorority sister and good friend Lindsay to our fellow AOTT sister for her baby shower. It was awesome to see Margaret again and get to hold and play with her new little one. Crazy how fast time has gone by! We’re all getting married and having babies now! I’m definitely not complaining…I’m having so much fun reuniting and getting to take pictures! :-)

This little guy is the first of 2 newborn sessions that I had last weekend up in Seattle. My good friend from college bought her 2 friends sessions with me for their baby shower gifts. Such a great idea! The second session should be posted by the end of the week…stay tuned!

Elijah was just 4 days old when these pictures were taken. If he waited any longer I wouldn’t have been able to take these pictures. So glad it worked out! He’s just a doll!  :-)
