A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of FINALLY photographing this beautiful family. We had been trying to schedule a session for months, so when the spring-like weather came out to play we took advantage of it! It might have been a little TOO sunny in fact, we had to stay in the shade and couldn’t take advantage of the beautiful park down on Lacamas Lake in Camas. Oh well, Caden had lots of fun on the playground for the first time. Super cute! His mommy and I used to play soccer together waaaay back in the day. It was great to see her again and to get to meet the men in her life. Such a fun shoot! Thanks you guys!

Sheena was my first client to be photographed at my new house! I’m so excited about the great locations nearby. There’s a stream running through the neighborhood, a playground, and lots of great textured fences to lean against.

Sheena’s sister works for Disney World in Florida and got her a super cute Mickey dress to wear and a stuffed animal for her little one. I have a feeling Jakob is going to be well stocked in all things Disney! Sheena also brought along her dog Summer…so fun! My kitty loved playing with her while we were taking pictures.

Sheena had her baby boy last week, hospital and newborn pictures coming soon! Congrats girl!

Shannon and Stephen got married at the Columbia Edgewater Country Club on New Years Eve 2009. They say rain on your wedding day is good luck…these guys will definitely live happily ever after! We did manage a few portraits outside (there was even some snow still on the ground!), before Shannon’s makeup and my equipment melted. Their son Rylan was an adorable ring bearer and loved hiding in mommy’s dress. He had me laughing all night long.

Patrick and I had a great time at this New Years Eve wedding celebration…what a party! Great ready for 3….2….1….

I’ve known Katie for about 12 years now….wow, can’t believe it’s been that long! We grew up with a close group of friends in Kennewick, WA until I moved to Vancouver in 1990. We reconnected in collage and were even roommates with another one one my past brides, Liz. We had a great college experience together with many fond memories that I’ll always cherish (Go Cougs!) :-)

I was so honored that she and Zach chose me to photograph their wedding in December. I had an awesome time seeing all my old friends and being such an important part of their big day. Katie was an absolutely stunning bride and they had a lot of awesome details like her grandmother’s fur coat, a spacious cigar tent, and a full bar of Zach’s family’s delicious (and potent!) beer on tap. Like my husband Patrick and I, Katie and Zach went to rival colleges – WSU and UW. I loved seeing people giving them “house divided” presents…reminded me of my own wedding! Needless to say, Patrick and I had a blast!

Thank you Katie and Zach for inviting us to capture your wedding memories. What a great day! Love you guys!!
